The true story of a journey to the Caribbean and back in a small sailing boat with two small children, this amazing travelogue tells of the challenges and joy of such a journey. Weather events, close encounters with whales, dolphins and turtles, long periods away from land (19 days at one time) as well as the more routine aspects of life aboard (education, cooking, fishing, family relationships, navigation) make this a compelling story, told from a fresh perspective.

Part 1 covers the journey from a day at work in London, to the couple's debated decision to sell up and leave, to the joyful arrival in St Lucia still reeling from Tropical Storm Epsilion. Part 2 travels through the Caribbean, including many off the beaten track places such as Mustique, Montserrat (now only reachable by private boat) and the Tobago Cays, taking in Antigua Race Week, and the decision whether to undertake the return Atlantic crossing, this time without the security of the trade winds.
