This Operational Safety Checklist will assist Master’s in ensuring lifesaving, firefighting and pollution prevention equipment are in good condition and available for immediate use as required by SOLAS and MARPOL conventions. Proactive use of the Checklist could identify equipment that is not functioning as required, in need to repair or maintenance. Copies of the completed form may be sent to DPA’s.
